B.L.T. Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large firm tomatoes
    12 lettuce leaves
    1 lb. fresh cleaned and sliced mushrooms
    8 slices crisp fried, crumbled bacon
    4 green onions with tops, thinly sliced
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cut 18 center slices from tomatoes; lightly salt.
    Arrange in 6 lettuce-lined salad bowls.
    Coarsely chop tomato ends.
    Toss with mushrooms, bacon, onion, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Spoon over tomato slices.
