Old-Fashioned Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes with juice, cut up
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1 qt. water
    1 1/3 c. nonfat dry milk powder
    2 Tbsp. low-fat margarine
    chopped parsley (optional)
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring tomatoes to a boil.
    Add baking soda, garlic, salt and pepper.
    Reduce heat.
    Add the water, milk powder and margarine.
    Heat through, but not to a boil.
    Garnish with parsley, if desired.
