Sweet Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. cucumbers
    2 gal. cold water
    2 c. lime
    1 Tbsp. salt
    spices to taste
    4 lb. sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve lime in water.
    Let cucumbers stand 24 hours in lime water.
    Drain, rinse and let stand 3 hours in clear water.
    Drain again.
    Let stand overnight in vinegar, salt, spices and sugar. Next morning, bring to a boil; boil slowly for 30 minutes or until clear.
    Pack in hot jars and seal.
