Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Place shortening and sugar in a bowl.
    Mix together well.
    Add eggs and mix together. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in separate bowl.
    Stir and add half of the flour mixture and half of the mashed bananas.
    Mix for 30 seconds, then add remaining flour and banana mixture.
    Mix an additional 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Blend walnuts into mixture, about 15 seconds.
    Pour mixture into greased and floured 9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
