Scottish Shortbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 firm butter, cut into pieces

Preparation

In bowl, stir together flour, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup sugar. Rub in butter with fingers until mixture is crumbly and no large particles remain.
Place in an ungreased 8 or 9-inch round baking dish with a removable bottom.
Firmly press out dough into an even layer.
With tines of a fork, make impressions around edge of dough, then prick surface evenly.
Bake in 325\u00b0 oven about 40 minutes.
Remove from oven and cut while still hot into 8 to 12 wedges.
Sprinkle with sugar and cool.
