Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 large eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa, unsweetened powder
    2 fl. oz. red food coloring
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 c. whole milk
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Blend in cocoa and red food coloring.
    Sift together cake flour, salt and soda.
    Mix buttermilk and vinegar.
    Add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
    Bake in layers, tube or Bundt pans that have been heavily greased (not floured) with a solid shortening (not butter, margarine or oil) at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
    Allow to rest for 20 minutes without inverting before removing from pan.
    Makes 12 servings.
    Preparation time: 1 1/2 hours.
