Icicle Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. matured cucumbers
    1 c. lime
    1 gal. water
    2 qt. vinegar
    8 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. mixed pickling spice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Peel and cut cucumbers into sticks.
    Scrape all seeds out good. Soak in lime water overnight.
    Wash thoroughly (several washings). Soak in cold water 3 hours.
