Breakfast Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. rolled oats
    2 c. white flour
    1 c. whole wheat flour
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 c. raisins, nuts, wheat germ (optional)
Preparation
    Hand mix the first 7 ingredients in a large bowl.
    Cut butter or margarine into mixed ingredients.
    Gradually add buttermilk into mixture until you have a stiff dough.
    Add optional ingredients if you desire.
    Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
    Flatten slightly and brush with buttermilk. Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
