Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cassia or cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until done.
