Never Fail Sweet Rye Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. molasses
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
2 yeast cakes
6 c. white flour (approximately)
1/3 c. white Karo syrup
2 c. milk
2 c. rye flour
1/2 c. warm water
Preparation

Scald and cool molasses, syrup, sugar, milk and shortening. Then add yeast, dissolved in warm water and rye flour.
Add white flour to make a stiff dough.
Place in greased bowl, cover with damp cloth.
Let rise until double, about 3 hours.
