Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. diced apples
1/2 c. nutmeats (optional)
Preparation

Beat together the shortening and sugar.
Add the egg; beat until creamy.
Add flour, soda and salt to mixture; mix well on low speed.
Fold in apples and nuts.
Bake in ungreased 8 x 8-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
No icing is needed.
