Old Fashioned Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 oz. yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    12 or more c. flour
    3 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Soften yeast in warm water.
    Add rest of ingredients, except flour.
    Add 4 cups flour; mix well.
    Let set 1/2 hour in warm place.
    Add rest of flour.
    Knead well and let rise until double in bulk.
    Make loaves and rolls.
    Put in greased pans.
    Let rise until double in size.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes or until brown for bread.
    Bake rolls 40 minutes or until brown.
