Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1 can cherry pie filling
    confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Cream together the butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well.
    Add the flour and lemon extract.
    Spread dough on large greased cookie sheet.
    Add 1 tablespoon cherry pie filling at regular intervals, using 1 can of filling.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar while still warm.
