Shana'S Almond Supreme Cake - cooking recipe

3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. sifted cake flour
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract
4 egg whites
1/2 c. milk
2/3 c. butter, softened
6 c. powdered sugar
6 Tbsp. light cream (half and half)
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream butter in mixer bowl (the first 3/4 cup butter), until light and fluffy.
Add 1 cup sugar gradually; mix well.
Stir flour with baking powder and salt (3 times).
Stir flavorings into milk. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold gently into the batter.
Pour into 3 greased 9-inch cake pans.
Tap pans on hard surface to remove bubbles.
Bake at 350\u00b0
for 20 to 25 minutes, or until tests done.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool on wire rack.
