Date-Nut Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. hot water
    2 c. brown sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    pinch of salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine hot water and brown sugar in large baking dish. Mix together
    remaining ingredients.
    Spoon batter over syrup. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Serve with Cool Whip.
