Cranberry-Apple Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (12 oz.) bag fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cranberry-apple juice cocktail
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
2 Granny Smith apples, pared, cored and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tsp. grated orange peel
1 large navel orange, peeled, membrane removed and coarsely chopped
1/2 c. toasted coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation

In large saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, cranberry-apple juice cocktail, allspice and ginger; bring to boiling.
Stir in apples and grated orange peel; simmer 2 minutes or until almost all berries have popped.
Pour mixture into bowl; cool.
Cover and refrigerate until cold.
Before serving, stir in chopped orange and pecans.
