Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 sticks margarine
    1 chopped onion
    2 or 3 c. squash
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 1/2 c. cracker crumbs*
    1 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Saute onion in 1/4 stick margarine.
    Boil squash; drain and mash.
    Combine squash with soup and onion.
    Melt 1 1/2 sticks margarine and mix with 1 1/2 cups crumbs.
    Put into casserole dish a layer of squash, cheese and layer of cracker crumbs.
    Repeat layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 to 30 minutes.
    Serves 12.
