Apricot Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dried apricots
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/4 c. water
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/4 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Soak apricots for 30 minutes in warm water.
    Drain and cut into 1/4-inch pieces.
    Cream butter, sugar and egg.
    Stir in water and orange juice.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to mixture.
    Blend in chopped nuts and apricots.
    Pour into greased pan, 9 1/2 x 5 x 2 3/4-inches.
    Bake 55 to 60 minutes at 350\u00b0 or until wooden toothpick thrust into center comes out clean.
    Remove from pan. Let cool on rack.
