Malted Milk Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. malted milk powder (vanilla or chocolate)
    1/3 c. oleo
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    2 unbeaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Sift together flour and baking powder.
    Melt oleo in a medium saucepan; add brown sugar.
    Stir in vanilla and eggs.
    Add dry ingredients slowly.
    Add dates and pecans with last of flour and mix thoroughly.
    Bake in well-greased and floured square pan at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    When cool, cut into squares or bars.
