Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 or 9-inch) pie crust
    1/3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    1/3 c. molasses
    2 Tbsp. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour, salt and shortening to form crumbs.
    In a separate bowl, beat egg until fluffy.
    Add molasses, boiling water and baking soda.
    Beat until soda dissolves.
    Reserve 1/4 cup of crumb mixture.
    Stir remaining crumb mixture into molasses mixture and stir until blended.
    Pour into pie crust; sprinkle crumbs on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
