Sandies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks margarine
    1/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine
    and
    sugar;
    add water and vanilla and mix well.
    Add flour and nuts; chill 3 or 4 hours.
    Shape into balls or fingers.
    Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven at 325\u00b0 about 20 minutes.
    Cool slightly.
    Roll in confectioners sugar. Makes 5 dozen.
