Braised Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head red cabbage, coarsely shredded (about 10 c.)
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Heat all ingredients to boiling in Dutch oven, stirring occasionally; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer until cabbage is tender, about 25 minutes.
