Brown Beef In Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. chuck roast
    2 Tbsp. butter
    12 oz. beer
    3/4 oz. pkg. French mushroom gravy mix
    1/2 tsp. basil
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut roast in 1 1/2 x 2-inch strips and brown in butter.
    Add beef; sprinkle basil and pepper.
    Cover and simmer 30 to 40 minutes or until beef is tender.
    Stir in gravy mix, cover and cook 5 minutes.
    Serve over buttered noodles.
