10 Ortega taco shells, coarsely broken
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 1/4 oz. pkg. Ortega taco seasoning mix
1/2 c. water
2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 c. (1/2 lb.) grated Monterey Jack cheese
1 large tomato, cut in wedges

In lightly greased 1 1/2-quart casserole place 1/2 taco chips. Set aside.
