Manhattan Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt clams
    3 slices bacon
    1 large onion, minced
    3 Tbsp flour
    2 c diced potatoes
    3 c cooked or canned tomatoes
    1/2 c diced green pepper
    1/2 bay leaf
    1/2 c ketchup
Preparation
    Wash clams in 3 cups water.
    Drain and reserve liquid.
    Cut the hard part of the clam from the soft part.
    Finely chop the hard parts.
