Applesauce Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten lightly
1/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 c. raisins
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. applesauce

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs and mix.
Add nuts and raisins.
Sift dry ingredients; add alternately with applesauce.
Bake in greased 8 x 4-inch loaf pan for 1 hour in a 350\u00b0 oven.
