Cranberry Applesauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 apples (about 2 lb.), peeled, cored and chopped
1 c. fresh cranberries
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. apple cider
3-inch cinnamon stick
3-inch strip lemon zest
2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
Preparation

In a heavy saucepan, cook the apples, cranberries, sugar, apple cider, cinnamon stick and lemon zest over moderate heat, stirring frequently, until it looks like applesauce.
Stir in butter.
Serve warm or chilled.
Makes 3 cups.
