Ritz Cracker Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    20 Ritz crackers
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. whipped cream
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Crush Ritz crackers.
    Add 1/2 cup sugar and chopped pecans. Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add sugar (1/2 cup) and vanilla. Beat.
    Fold in egg whites to cracker mixture.
    Pour into heavily buttered 9-inch pie pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool.
    Serve with whipped cream.
    Garnish with fruit, if desired.
    Keep chilled until serving time.
