Strawberry Layer Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sliced strawberries
    1 envelope low-calorie strawberry gelatin
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 c. low-calorie nondairy whipped topping
    1 (10-inch) tube angel food cake (1 lb.)
Preparation
    Slice berries and set aside.
    Dissolve gelatin in hot water. Chill until partially set.
    Beat mixture until light and fluffy. Fold in nondairy whipped topping.
    Chill until spreading consistency.
    Transfer 1 1/2 cups of mixture to small bowl.
    Fold in berries.
    Split cake crosswise, making 3 layers.
    Fill between layers with berry mixture.
    Frost top and sides with remaining whipped topping mixture.
    Chill.
    Yields 16 servings, 112 calories per serving.
