Christmas Cut-Outs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. plain flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. (2 sticks) butter
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Sift
    together flour, baking powder and soda in a mixing bowl. Cut
    in
    butter until mixture looks like cornmeal.
    Beat eggs. Add sugar and
    vanilla
    to eggs and beat well.
    Add dash of salt. Combine
    egg
    mixture
    with flour and butter mixture. Chill.
    On a lightly
    floured
    board,
    roll
    dough
    to 1/8 inch thick.
    Cut in desired
    shapes
    and
    place
    on buttered baking sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for
    6 to 8 minutes.
    Remove to wire racks to cool.
    Yields: 6 dozen.
