Grandmother'S Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk

Preparation

Cut butter into flour and sugar mixture.
Reserve a scant cup. Combine dry and liquid ingredients. Bake in greased square pan. Sprinkle reserved dry mixture over top of batter before baking. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
