Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 pkg. frozen strawberries, thawed then drained
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
    baked pie shell (optional)
Preparation
    Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water.
    Add ice cream and stir until melted.
    When mixture thickens, fold in strawberries.
    Fill pie shell (browned) or for a lovely \"dressier\" dessert, fill parfait glasses with mixture.
    Garnish with a dollop of Cool Whip and a fresh whole strawberry.
    Chill until ready to serve.
    Serves 6 to 8.
