Homemade Tomato Juice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

firm ripe tomatoes (1/2 kettle cut up = 2 qt. approximately)
1/2 c. water
salt
Preparation

Wash and scald.
Cut away hard stem or bruised places and quarter tomatoes.
Simmer until soft.
Stir occasionally.
Put through sieve fine enough to remove seeds.
Bring juice to boiling and pour immediately into sterilized Kerr jars filling to within 1/4-inch of top.
Add 1 teaspoon salt to each quart of juice.
Put on heated caps and bands firmly tight.
Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
