Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    1 c. raisins, blanched
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Cut shortening into dry ingredients as you would for pie crust.
    Add buttermilk and mix well.
    Add raisins and knead a little.
    Shape into 2 large or 3 small loaves.
    Bake in 8-inch pie tins.
    Just before you put loaves into oven, cut a cross on top of each.
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Check with a cake tester.
    Keep in plastic bags to mellow.
    It is best after sitting a day.
