Breakfast Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1 large egg
    1 c. milk
    2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
    powdered sugar or maple syrup
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Combine egg and milk with a fork and stir into dry ingredients.
    Fold in chopped apples.
    Drop by cooking spoon size mounds into hot vegetable oil and fry until well browned on both sides.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Keep warm while all are being fried.
    Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar or with syrup on the side or both.
