Quick Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. self-rising flour
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. butter
1 egg
1/3 c. milk
powdered sugar
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar and nutmeg.
Cut in butter.
In a measuring cup, beat egg; add milk to measure 2/3 cup.
Add to flour mixture and stir until blended.
Turn out on a floured board and knead just until smooth.
Roll and cut with a donut cutter. Fry in deep fat.
Drain and dust thickly with powdered sugar.
