Caramel Apple Pie - cooking recipe

1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
4 to 5 Tbsp. cold water
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. quick rolled oats
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
6 c. thinly sliced peeled apples
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/4 c. caramel topping
Preparation

For pastry: In a bowl, stir together 1 1/4 cups flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Cut shortening into flour.\tSprinkle 1 teaspoon of water over flour.
Mix.
Keep adding 1 teaspoon of water until mixture is moist.
Form dough into a ball; set aside.
