Ingredients

2 c. rolled oats
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. preserves or jam
Preparation

Combine all ingredients, except preserves in a mixing bowl. Beat with electric mixer on low until mixture is crumbly.
Reserve 2 cups of mixture.
Press remaining mixture onto bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
