Chicken Wild Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) broiler or fryer chicken
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. dry sherry
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. curry powder
    1/2 medium onion, sliced
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 lb. mushrooms
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Uncle Ben's wild rice and long grain
Preparation
    Place chicken in kettle with water, sherry, salt, curry powder, onion and celery.
    Bring to boil.
    Cover tightly.
    Reduce heat.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Remove.
    Strain broth to save.
    Cool chicken and bone.
    Cut into bite size pieces.
