Coconut Pecan Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg yolks
    1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, margarine, milk, vanilla and egg yolks in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened (about 12
    minutes).
    Stir in coconut and nuts.
    Beat until it is spreading consistency. Can be spread on German Chocolate Cake. Can substitute chopped almonds for pecans.
