Jean'S Mince And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. ground round
    4 carrots, cut in medallions
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 bouillon cubes or to taste
    biscuit mix (for dumplings)
    cornstarch (for thickening gravy)
Preparation
    Put ground round, carrots and onion in a large saucepan and add water to barely cover.
    Bring to a boil and simmer for a half hour. Cool and remove the grease.
    Add bouillon cubes and cook for one hour on low, adding water as necessary.
    Thicken with cornstarch off of the heat.
    Top with biscuit mix dumplings, prepared according to package directions.
    Serve with mashed potatoes.
