Pea Pulao(Pakistan) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. basmati rice
1 1/2 c. peas
3 whole cloves
4 whole black peppers
2 cardamom
3 Tbsp. oil
salt to taste
Preparation

Wash rice and let it soak for 15 minutes.
Saute onions until golden brown.
Add cloves, cardamom, black pepper and peas.
Drain the rice and add it to the pot of onions and spices.
Measure 3 1/2 cups of water and add to the rice mixture; add the salt.
Cook over medium heat until water has evaporated.
Cover with lid and turn to lowest temperature possible and let the rice sit for 5 minutes, then turn the heat off.
