Fruit Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco shortening
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 1/4 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Spoon evenly into 4 greased and floured 9-inch pie pans.
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Remove onto wax paper and let cool.
    Put applesauce, cooked apples or you can use jam or jelly between layers. Sprinkle top with sugar.
