Scotch Oatmeal Bread(Makes 2 Loaves) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick oats
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 Tbsp. molasses
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. boiling water
    1 pkg. yeast
    1 c. warm water (not hot)
    1/2 c. raisins
    5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine oats, sugar, salt, shortening, molasses and boiling water; cool to lukewarm.
    Sprinkle yeast into warm water; stir until dissolved.
    Add oatmeal mixture.
    Add raisins and 3 cups flour; beat until smooth, 10 minutes.
    Add rest of flour.
    Let rise about 1 1/2 hours or until double in bulk.
