Portuguese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. small cubes beef
    3 cans beef broth
    2 c. water
    2 cloves garlic
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 cans tomato sauce
    1 lb. chopped linguica
    3 diced potatoes
    3 diced carrots
    1 stalk celery, diced
    1 large onion, diced
    1/2 head chopped cabbage
Preparation
    Cook beef, broth, water, bay leaves, tomato sauce and pepper for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Add linguica, potatoes, carrots, celery and cabbage.
    Simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8 people.
