Kona Freeze - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. vanilla or strawberry ice cream, softened
    32 Oreo cookies, crushed with dough roller
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1 pkg. milk chocolate Pillsbury frosting mix, prepared according to pkg.
    1 large carton Cool Whip, at room temperature
    1 small pkg. slivered almonds
Preparation
    Make sure ice cream is softened.
    Mix 27 crushed Oreo cookies with 1/4 cup melted butter.
    Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 x 2-inch Pyrex dish.
    Pour ice cream over cookies.
    Place in freezer and re-freeze.
