Apple Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. apples
    2 1/2 lb. sugar
    cinnamon
Preparation
    Peel and core apples. Place layer of apples and layer of sugar in crock. Let stand overnight.
    Place apple mixture and cinnamon in a large pan.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 3 hours.
    Beat with rotary beater, spoon into jars and seal.
    Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
