Apple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 medium apples, pared and sliced
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. buttermilk
whipped cream
Preparation

In a 9 x 9-inch pan, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
Spread 1/2 cup brown sugar in bottom of pan.
Sprinkle with pecans and arrange apple slices on top.
Cover with lemon juice and set aside.
Cream 1/2 cup butter and remaining sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Sift together remaining dry ingredients. Add alternately with milk.
Spread batter over apples.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Place on cooling rack 10 minutes, then turn upside-down on plate and top with whipped cream.
