Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

30 to 40 medium cucumbers, cut in half lengthwise
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
3 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
fresh or dry dill (1 head per jar)
1 clove garlic (per jar)
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. water
Preparation

Combine sugar, salt, vinegar and water.
Tie spices in a cheesecloth bag; add to vinegar mixture.
Simmer 15 minutes.
