Fudgy Bonbons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
    2 c. flour
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (optional)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    60 Hershey's Kisses or miniature candy (Reese's peanut butter cups and Rollo candies are good)
    2 oz. white baking bar
    1 tsp. shortening
Preparation
    Heat the oven to 350\u00b0.
    In medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips and butter. Cook and stir over very low heat until chips are melted and smooth.
    (You can do this step in the microwave over low heat, also.)
    Add sweetened condensed milk and mix well. Add flour and vanilla.
    Mix well. Shape 1 tablespoon (use measuring spoon) of dough around each candy, covering completely.
    Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. Cookies will be soft and appear shiny, but become firm as they cool. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
    Remove from cookie sheet. Cool.
